Library services for children include:
Collection of materials: books in fiction, nonfiction, biographies, picture books, beginning readers, popular paperbacks, magazines, videos, DVDs, CD's, and audiobooks in English and Spanish.
Computers: Four Internet or word processing terminals
Storytimes: for preschoolers and toddlers, offered several times per week and at each library branch in the county.
Summer Reading Program in June and July for children of all ages. Go to your nearest library to register. Check the current calendar of events to find dates and special programs.
Additional programs and events: Main and all branches host events throughout the year, such as Teddy Bear Picnic & Tea Party.
Tumble Books: The TumbleBook Library is a collection of animated, talking picture books created from existing picture books.
This collection features 8 categories containing nearly 125 Read-Along titles (and an additional 100 large print online titles): picture books, early readers, chapter books, middle school readers, YA/teen Novels, children’s classics, classics and Shakespeare.
