Children program

Children program StoryTimes for preschoolers, toddlers, and babies are offered several times per week and at each library branch in the county.

Main Library

Change is coming!  Starting in September, tickets will be given for ALL Storytimes and Babytimes.  No registration will be required but there will be a limit of 1 ticket per family per program.  Large groups (8 and up) please call 2 weeks in advance.

Tickets will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis at the children's desk prior to the beginning of the program for that day.  Sorry, no exceptions.  Keep in mind that tickets will be limited.  Programming will begin the day after Labor Day and run for 10 weeks with a break, before starting the next session.

Family Storytime, Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for all ages.  Limit of 25 children.

Brain Box Play Group, Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. for preschool children.  Limit of 15 children.

Preschool Storytime, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for 2 - 5 year olds.  Limit of 25 children.

Wii Wednesday at 1 p.m. for all ages.  No tickets required.

Babytime, Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. for crawlers and 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 for walkers.  Limit of 20 babies.

Bilingual Storytime, Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. for children up to 5 years of age.  Limit of 25 children.

Dateland Branch Library

Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.
(Please note, during the last week of each month, storytime is held on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m.)

Foothills Branch Library

Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.

Heritage Branch Library
There is currently no storytime being held.  Check back at a later date.
Roll Branch Library

Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.

San Luis Branch Library

Fridays at 10:00 a.m. for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.

Somerton Branch Library

Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. for children ages 6-12 years old.  
Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. BabyTime for babies 0-24months old.

Fridays at 4:00pm Tween Time (activities for tweens 10-12 years old).

Wellton Branch Library

Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. for children ages 2 to 5 years old.

 

Children program Special program

Cover to Cover Reading Program March 6 - April 17. Children ages 4-12 are eligible to participate in a reading program hosted by In-N-Out Burger. Stop by any library for a reading log, read 5 books, and earn a free cheeseburger!

Teddy Bear Picnic Saturday, April 17th at Main 10am-12pm. Come join us with your Teddy Bear for a morning of games, prizes & read-alouds! Booker Bear will be joining us too!

Children program Summer program

Our Summer Reading Program will run June and July for children of all ages (& adults!). Registration will begin June 1st. Please check the calendar to find dates of upcoming special events and programs!
