Thank you for your interest in our programs! The purpose of library programming is to provide informational, cultural, and recreational experiences for Yuma County residents and visitors of all ages. Please visit our
Calendar of Events to view upcoming programs at each branch library.
Children programs
There’s always something happening for kids at the library! Come to one of our weekly story times to sing, dance, and hear your favorite stories read aloud. We also host craft programs, puppet shows, visits from desert animals, movies screenings, contests, games, and more! And you never know when Booker Bear might show up to join in on the fun…
Teens programs
Gaming tournaments, film screenings, trivia contests, drawing competitions…at the library? You bet! Check out your local library and see what’s happening.
Business programs
Whether you’re already a small business owner or just getting started, the library has information and resources to help. Find out how to write a business plan, secure a loan, market your business to the community, and position your business for success.
Non profits/Grants programs
The Yuma Main Library houses the Nonprofit Resource Center, a collection of print and electronic resources. Programming includes workshops about grant seeking, grant making, nonprofit management, and related subjects.
Other programs
All libraries offer intergenerational summer reading programs with fun activities for the whole family! We also host author visits and book signings, guest speakers, concerts, film screenings, and activities related to library awareness campaigns such as National Library Week, Teen Read Week, and Children’s Book Week.
