Over 500 young people attended this free event.  They listened  to stories read by  Yuma Policemen, Border

Patrol Officers and others. In addition, Yuma Library staffers presented puppet shows. Each child received a

free paperback, a balloon, a Free to Read sticker, patriotic pencil and bag of information. A fun time was had by all!

If any of those attending the event purchased books from Barnes & Noble, a percentage of their purchase

was donated to Friends of Yuma County Libraries and Yuma Reading Council.
